The Association of Christian Counsellors is a professional body for Christian Counsellors and a support organisation for those involved in Pastoral Care. For counsellors ACC offers various levels of accreditation and has a system of recognition of training courses that they might undertake. For Pastoral Carers we offer a Pastoral Skills resource pack. For both we offer conferences and regionally organised events for training purposes.
The British and Irish Association for Practical Theology is an active forum for practitioners, teachers and researchers in the broad field of practical and pastoral theology. It was founded in 1994, and has grown through its broad based networks and successful annual conferences to an active membership of over two hundred in Britain and Ireland and further afield. BIAPT is one of the key sponsors of the journal Practical Theology (formerly Contact).
The Institute of Pastoral Counselling & Supervision (previously IPC) provides high–quality professional counselling training in the context of Christian theology, psychology and spirituality. It currently offers a Professional Certificate in Pastoral Supervision together with a range of Continuing Professional Development events for counsellors, clergy, spiritual directors and lay pastoral ministers. Although the Institute is based in Nottingham, because of the flexible nature of the programme, students come from all over the United Kingdom to train.
Moorleys provide print management and database solutions as a back office service to Continuing The Journey Conference. They were founded in 1966, and over the years have built up working relationships with many church and charity organisations. These organisations benefit from the same professional advice, products and services that they provide for the commercial sector, and can be tailored just for you.
